Imagine now -- a Vacation so Inexpensive and Yet so Extraordinary -- Mexico's Beaches!

Soft sand beaches, the beautiful ocean, and rugged mountains are all things I remember about our family's vacations to Mexico. A country with modern resorts, ancient ruins, great food, and gorgeous natural areas; Mexico's diversity is a prime attraction when choosing a place for your family beach vacation. Great beaches in Mexico include Acapulco, Cancun, Cozumel, Ixtapa, Huatulco, Mazatlan, and others.

Imagine swimming, snorkeling, sailing, boating or fishing in azure Gulf waters. Or visiting ancient ruins, golfing, playing tennis or just enjoying a beautiful sunset over the Pacific.

Families love going to the beach and your family is probably no different. Like our family, they love the white sandy beaches and the sound of the waves only a few feet away. My daughter loves playing in the sand. She spends hours building elaborate sand castles just to have the waves devour them as the tide rolls in. Our three boys love to swim and frolic in the waves.

Other activities we love are the many trips to view the ancient ruins. Travelers to this land describe it as the ancient land of the Aztecs. There are ruins like those at Teotihuacan where the Jaguar Palace, the Temple of the Plumed Conch Shells and the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon reside. Here, you walk the Avenue of the Dead past temples and palaces while viewing the archaeological treasures of the Toltec, Aztec and other ancient civilizations of Mexico.

Interesting sea-towns where you can visit galleries, eat wonderful seafood and relax are also leading attractions to visitors. Not far from Mazatlan, is Concordia in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains. You'll drive past coconut, mango and banana plantations before reaching a city with cobblestone lanes and red tile roofed buildings. This town is famous for its fine carved furniture. Continuing on for another 45 minutes, you'll come to Copola, an old mining town with cobblestone streets, and Daniel's, a wonderful hilltop Mexican restaurant. The charm of this town with its colonial era buildings and clear mountain air will endear your sense of the quaint side of Mexico.

From its beaches.... to its ancient heritage.... to its crafts.... to the ambiance of an evening looking at breathtaking sunsets over the Pacific, Mexico's Beaches are an excellent choice for your family's next vacation. Mexico's bounty awaits you and your family.
