Instructions:This recipe is for cooking outdoors and is great for July 4th Celebrations but can also be adapted and done in the kitchen. You'll need a 40 gallon pot, a propane burner and a tank of propane. Fill 40 gallon pot half way with water and turn on the propane burner under the pot.. Add the bag of Zatarain's. Grind and dump 1 table spoon of pepper into the water. Add 1 table spoon of McCormic's Season All Season Salt into the water. Cut the 3 lemons in half and squeeze all their juice into the pot. Cut the ends off the 5 whole garlics and throw them into the water. Cut the jalepeno peppers into strips and add them to the water. Chop the parsely and add it to the water. Carefully put the red potatoes into the water. Bring to a boil and let the pot sit (boiling) for about 5 minutes. Cut the 5 ears of corn into thirds (15 pieces) and carefully put them in the boiling water. Carefully add the Brussel Sprouts to the boiling water. Quarter the onions and carefully put them into the boiling water. Boil for 10 more minutes. Carefully add all the shrimp to the boiling water and bring the pot to a boil again. When the shrimp start to float, they're done. Pour into big bowls, add season salt to your liking and enjoy. |
